Poll : what bug tracker should we use ?
Submitted by Fabien D on Fri, 08/03/2007 - 17:57.The intent of that poll is to find a better bug tracker than the one we use currently.
Please reply here to give your opinion on the bug trackers you know and that you have already used.
Give both the advantages and disadvantages you have found.
To fit our needs, it should be open source or at least have a free licence for an open source project. Moreover, it should not have a lot of technical requirement and should be easy to use and administrate.
Poll : what documentation is missing in JNode ?
Submitted by Fabien D on Mon, 07/30/2007 - 23:30.I have read somewhere on the web that JNode is missing documentation. I thinks it's true and may stop some people to work/start working on JNode so I am asking you all : what documentation is missing in JNode ?
Please comment and order by priority what kind of documentation you need to develop in JNode.
If I can write such a doc myself, I will do. If I know who can do it, I will ask that person.
Finally, if nobody knows that part, maybe you or someone else can starts learning that part and document it.
JNode & OpenJDK
Submitted by lsantha on Wed, 05/09/2007 - 08:56.OpenJDK has been release by Sun Microsystems recently as free open source software.
More speciffically the Java class library included into OpenJDK is released under GPLv2 + "Classpath exception" which makes it eligible for inclusion into JNode. This class library largely corresponds to the standard class library included in the mature, stable, production quality release of Java 6. For JNode this means stability, correctnes and adherence to the standard Java on the class library level.
We are investigating ways to take advantage of this wonderful possibility offered by Sun Microsystems to the Java community and we are trying to combine the OpenJDK class library with the current GNU Classpath based class library of JNode.
